The Video Supermarket Project in Datong
Early 2007, Star singed the contract with Datong CATV Network Co., Ltd. for the Video Supermarket Project. It was the first time for Star to promote and implement its open Overall Network Video Supermarket Solution. This solution is composed of Interactive TV Services Platform Layer and Level which are built on the CATV Transmission Platform.The Interactive TV Services Platform Layer is characterized by high openness and maturity, expandability and flexibility. The sigle platform can simultaneously enable Interactive TV services based on one-way or two-way networks and TS stream video, IPTV, nPVR and TimeShift TV. The services being deployed presently in Datong Project include various VOD services, Pre-order VOD and Push VOD.
