StarTimes Cameroon was officially put into operation

On Jan. 7, StarTimes Cameroon held a press conference in Douala, the largest city in Cameroon, to announce the start of its digital TV service in Cameroon. "This is a new step for StarTimes in Cameroon," said Li Danyang, CEO of StarTimes Cameroon, "We also cooperated with Cameroon Radio TV in 2015 to carry out a technical upgrade project, and implemented the Ten Thousand Villages Project under the guidance of the Chinese government and Cameroonian government." He said that from this day on, StarTimes would be officially providing digital TV services in Cameroon, and we were a step closer to the goal of "providing affordable and excellent digital TV services for every African family."


"I’d like to thank StarTimes Cameroon for offering opportunities to people in rural areas to see the world and providing more jobs in Cameroon. We have people working for StarTimes in Cameroon, and also in its headquarters," said Samuel Ivaha Diboua, Governor of the Littoral region of Cameroon. In fact, about 90% of the employees in the overseas branches of StarTimes are locals. By providing jobs and proper training, StarTimes are helping the young people in Africa live a better life.
