StarTimes Representatives attended the UNESCO-Africa-China Online High-level Dialogue for Supporting Priority Africa in the COVID-19 and Post-COVID context

On Jun. 24, UNESCO and China jointly organized the UNESCO-Africa-China Online High-level Dialogue for Supporting Priority Africa in the COVID-19 and Post-COVID context. The dialogue was aimed at implementing the spirit of the Extraordinary China-Africa Summit on Solidarity against COVID-19, exchanging experiences on fighting against the coronavirus, and discussing practical measures to support Africa during and after the pandemic. Chen Baosheng, the Minister of Education of China, attended the meeting and made a keynote speech. The dialogue was co-chaired by Tian Xuejun, Vice Minister of Education and Chairperson of the National Commission of China for UNESCO, and Firmin Edouard Matoko, Assistant Director-General for Africa Priority and External Relations of UNESCO. The meeting was attended by Ministers of Education from Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mali, Namibia and Togo, presidents of universities and officials of the UNESCO National Commission, senior UNESCO officials and heads of UNSECO offices in Africa.
